Residents from Cedar Court Care Home in Abbeywood swapped the nice clean setting of the home, to that of Mudchute Farm, where they had the opportunity to be farmers for the day.
The residents had the chance to look around the farm and get hands on with the animals who live and work on there.
Acting Home Manager Richard White, said: “It’s important for the residents to get out and about away from the home. Just because you live in a care home doesn’t mean your life should stop. Actually a few of our residents would say this is where life begins for them. When the residents came home, they filled me in on everything they had done at the farm, which was lovely to hear. By the sounds of it they’d be happy to go back again and get up close and personal with the animals.”
