On Wednesday 26th June they were joined by members of their local church's seniors coffee group for a lovely coffee morning in the home. In preparation for the event, residents had worked hard to make cakes, biscuits and bunting, and as a result the room looked fabulous.
Everyone enjoyed chatting over a cup of tea and some cake and getting to know each other. The response from the church visitors was really positive and the home are looking forward to welcoming the group back again soon.
At the end of the week Ty Hafod had a visit from pupils from Pentyrch Primary School, who gave a wonderful performance in the garden. Residents and staff loved listening to the children singing and were delighted to have the chance to chat with them afterwards.
Care Home Open Day is celebrated each year by care homes across the country. It aims to encourage stronger relationships between care homes and the local community and provides a chance for people to see what life inside a home is really like.
