Everyone at Haddon House Care Home had a great day marking National Honey Bee Day as residents, family visitors and staff enjoyed looking learning about bees and how their honey is made and collected.
The home had kindly been given the use of a traditional bee hive, honey bee keepers hat, gloves and equipment to work the hive.
Residents enjoyed the sensory experience of touching the components and taking in the smell of the honeycomb and had a good conversation about the importance of the honeybee to pollination and human life.
