The air was full of Christmas cheer at Gosmore Care Home last weekend as they put on a fabulous festive bazaar, much enjoyed by residents, staff, friends and family!
Residents had been closely involved with the preparations; John had planted up a tables worth of bulbs earlier in the year, ready to sell on for spring flowering, while another group of residents had worked hard crafting gorgeous mini sock snowmen, which were much in demand.
The event was a real team effort with staff, friends and relatives of the home all getting involved; Jan brought a stall full of knitted Santas, elves and other festive characters while Aimie sold beautiful soaps and bath bombs and staff member Reese manned the ever-popular bottle stall. The room was packed out as everyone got busy picking up gifts for Christmas and trying their luck on the raffles.
The highlight of the afternoon was Santa in his grotto, with residents and visitors alike popping to make sure he'd received their wishes for this year's presents!
Home Manager Peter was delighted with the turnout, saying:
"It was an absolute pleasure to have so many people in the home. There was a great buzz and lots of happy faces throughout the afternoon and I'm extremely proud of all my colleagues who worked so hard to make the event a success.
"We're lucky to have a beautiful setting all year round here at Gosmore, but the home really comes into its own at Christmas and we do our best to make this a really special time for all our residents."
