Cubs and Beavers visit Lammermuir House

As part of the home's participation strategy in the local community, Lammermuir House Care Home in Dunbar has had visits from some younger generations.

The latest visit was from the Dunbar Cubs and Beavers and the aim of the visit was not only to create meaningful activities for the residents, but also an opportunity to share knowledge via a fun quiz.

It was a great opportunity for the Cubs and Beavers to learn some history of the town Dunbar and the county East Lothian with many quiz questions based on local knowledge. The Cubs and Beavers then sang songs before having tea, biscuits and cakes to finish off the visit.

It was a vibrant evening and some residents took ownership of the home, speaking to adult guests and ensuring the young cubs felt  at ease and at home. The Cubs took a real interest and listened attentively to their elders as they discussed the answers to the quiz.

It was a lovely occasion and very successful - much enjoyed by everyone who took part.
