Dene Grange Care Home recently welcomed local students completing their National Citizenship Service to spend the day at the home. Along with staff and residents, the students baked cakes, had a sing-a-long and enjoyed a range of entertaining activities.
The students also carried out some fundraising the day before, and managed to raise a fantastic £200 for both Dene Grange and another local care home. The money will be added to the residents’ fund and go towards the on-going work in the garden.
Local MP Guy Opperman also visited for the day to speak to both residents and students which was a great delight for everyone. The day was a lovely experience, and will be beneficial to both generations.
We would like to say a big thank you to the wonderful students, for all their fundraising, hard work and enthusiasm.
