Elizabeth Fleming Care Home have created a tea room inspired by Orchard Cottage at Beamish Museum.
It has been created for residents and relatives to enjoy refreshments or a meal together whilst listening to soothing music with beautiful surroundings.
Activities with the PAL (Personal Activity Lead) within the home will also be taking place there.
A relative said
"We love the tea room, the whole family use it and it's lovely and cosy. It's a wonderful idea and gives us the same experience as a local café but in homely surroundings. It's a wonderful idea."
Residents, relatives and staff had a great time celebrating the tea room opening.
