Over the month of February, our Four Seasons Care Homes have been ‘Going for Gold’ in their very own Winter Olympics, we have tried new sports, discovered sporting greats amongst our residents and had lots of fun!
Medals, music and laughs. As we reach the finish line, homes have been holding Olympic Closing Ceremonies in which residents celebrate their achievements and are awarded their bronze, silver or gold medals.
At Tall Oaks Care Home, residents celebrated their Closing Ceremony with an Awards Day-themed party. Residents enjoyed finger food, chocolates, cakes and of course teas and coffees. As a final goodbye to the ‘Going for Gold’ event, residents teamed up to take part in an Olympic quiz for their chance to win more points before their medals were announced.
Residents celebrated their Closing Ceremony with the last round of their favourite game, snowball basketball at Evedale Care Home. Art Club also decorated the medals with the Evedale touch ready for the awards ceremony that was taking place in the longue.
Whilst residents gathered in the lounge for a nice cup of tea and a slice of the Olympic-themed cake, Magic Moment Coordinators announced the winners for the bronze, silver and gold medals!
It was celebrations all-round at Croxteth Park Care Home’s Closing Ceremony as they announced the results that everyone won gold! With a cheeky glass of bubbly and a slice of the sports-themed cake, residents enjoyed an afternoon of music and dancing. It was a lovely afternoon of rewards and relaxation to cool down after all that sport.
