Free antiques valuation day at Gosmore Care Home

Experienced antiques expert Marie Warner is coming to Gosmore Care Home near St Ippolyts to run a free antiques valuation day on Sunday 21st October.

Owner of Hitchin-based Marie Antiques, Marie specialises in jewellery, glass and silver pieces and will be on hand to give her expert opinion and hopefully some unexpected valuations!

Tea, coffee and cakes will be provided and visitors will be able to enjoy not only their own valuations, but hear the stories of other people’s pieces too.

Marie Warner from Marie Antiques said:

“Most of us have a family heirloom or passed-down piece that we would be curious to know the value of and our valuation day will provide a fun and relaxed way to get an expert’s view.

“Having been in the antiques business for over thirty years I’ve assessed all kinds of pieces, and there’s nothing more exciting than discovering that something previously thought of as worthless is actually highly valuable!

“As a beautifully converted historic building, Gosmore Care Home will provide an ideal setting for the event and I hope as many people as possible will come down and bring their treasures along for valuation.”

Pitor Maslanka, Home Manager at Gosmore Care Home said:

“We’re delighted to be hosting the antiques valuation event with Marie and look forward to inviting the community into our home for the afternoon.

It promises to be a very enjoyable event and everyone is welcome to come along and join us.”

The antiques valuation afternoon will take place from 2-4pm at Gosmore Care Home, Hitchin Road, SG4 7QH. No appointments are necessary and plenty of free parking will be available.
