Grove House inspires photography exhibition

Students from Wirral Met College approached Grove House Care Home in Birkenhead to ask residents to provide inspiration for their photography project.

The students chose Grove House out of a number of homes across the Wirral to work with to complete their project. The tutor and students then spoke to the residents to find out what photographs they would like to see on the walls of their home. The residents predominantly suggested places they used to go - including Liverpool, New Brighton plus images from nature such as animals and flowers. The students took this information away and used it as the basis for producing a series of stunning images.

The students have now kindly donated the sixteen themed photographs to the residents of Grove House. The residents were delighted with the images and are looking forward to seeing them in pride of place on the walls of the home.

Home Manager Laura Parker said:

"Our thanks go to the students of Wirral Met for linking up with our residents for this thoughtful project and for taking the time to present the photographs to Grove House - it was a lovely afternoon for all concerned."
