Haddon House's heartwarming day

Haddon House Care Home in Ilkeston had a fun filled packed day with many special visits for national Care Home Open Day.

With a drop by from the Cotmanhay Junior School Choir, everyone had smiling faces as they listened to some wonderful songs and the children were a real credit to their school.

In the afternoon, Mayor of Erewash Sue Beardsley and her consort popped in to say hello and meet our lovely residents. During this time, Jules the accordionist played some great tunes entertaining everybody.

To end a very busy but fun day, residents enjoyed a delicious cream tea for National Cream Tea Day - many thanks to Chris our chef for baking the scones!

Home Manager Denise Spencer said:

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to our care staff, domestics, administrator, maintenance and last but not least family, friends and guests who helped make today such a great success."
