There may be snow on the ground and an icy wind blowing, but this didn’t stop residents from Hallgarth Care Home in Durham going on their latest ‘Rhythm not Blues’ session.
“It didn’t take the residents long to warm up, as they enjoyed an afternoon of music movement and song,” explained Home Manager Angela Muir. “There is always a lovely friendly welcome and time for a cup of tea before the session starts, which always gets everyone in the mood.
“We hold many of the ‘Rhythm and Blues’ sessions in the home, but once in a while it’s nice for the residents to meet up with other people at the local community centre and enjoy the session with them.”
