Residents enjoy some rhythm not blues

Hallgarth Care Home in Durham welcomed back Catherine for a ‘Rhythm not Blues’ session of music and movement therapy.

Angela Muir, Home Manager, explained: “Everyone set off on their magical journey, back to school with sewing class, stitching our tray cloths to the stitches. Playing two a ball-er at playtime, chasing hoops round the school yard, scoring goals and sang along to the skipping songs of our youth.

“We remembered the country dancing classes, waved batons to the sound of the marching bands, then took part in our own band. The afternoon isn’t complete without a cup of tea and a good old ‘remember when’ natter. What a busy afternoon we all had. I wonder where Catherine is taking us on our next adventure.”
