Residents from Harrogate Lodge Care Home in Leeds met up with children from local nursery ‘Best Child Nursery’ for a lovely morning of fun and games.
Alana Irvine, Intermediate Care Services Director, said: “It was great to see children from the local community visiting our residents and building friendships. The visit was a great success and is now a weekly event.”
The residents were from the home’s dementia unit and intermediate care unit. Shannon Berry, Unit Manager, said: “Our residents really enjoyed the children singing and the children loved listening to the stories the residents told them. It’s nice to see the generational gap being bridged and both parties extremely happy.”
