Rainy days don’t dampen residents’ spirits at Henderson House

In traditional British style, summer has been a little bit of a wash out recently. Rain has caused flooding in many parts of the country, and the wet weather means some day trips out have had to be postponed.

However, the summer flop hasn’t stopped residents at Henderson House Care Home in Dalgety Bay having a fun time.

Stewart MacDonald, Home Manager, explained: “The residents here decided they would set up shop and do a little bit of baking, in the hope that it would make the rain stop. The ladies made some lovely chocolate cornflake cakes for the rest of us to enjoy. However, when it came to serving the cakes with a cup of tea, we noticed one or two were missing. The search continues to see where they went.”

Ann-Marie McKay, Personal Activities Leader, said: “The mystery of the missing cakes had a simple explanation. Our lovely bakers were just doing a couple of taste tests to ensure the products they produced were of a high standard for everyone else at the home. Thank you ladies, the cakes were lovely.”
