Regency Care Home in Salford recently arranged for a group of dementia care residents to have their first holiday whilst living at the home.
Team members Caroline Tong, Trisha Johnson, Pam Lees and Angela Boyle kindly escorted residents during their mini break at the Cala Grand Caravan Park in Fleetwood.
The first outing was a visit to the amusement park, followed by an ice-cream treat. Not in the least tired out by the fresh air and excitement, the residents were then keen to go out dancing!
The very next day was jam-packed again, with a trip over to Blackpool for fresh fish and chips.
Residents' families were delighted at how well it all went and the holiday was the talk of the home! One family member wrote:
"I would like to express my thanks to Trish Johnson, Caroline Tong, Pam Lees and Angela Boyle who work at the Regency Care Home in Whitefield for going the “ extra mile” in arranging and taking my Mum and other residents on a holiday to Cleveleys near Blackpool. Mum really enjoyed it and her family much appreciate their extra effort and kindness."
