Laura Tindle, Home Manager at Howdon Care Centre in Wallsend was last week crowned ‘Home Manager of the Year 2019’ at the national Four Seasons Care Awards.
The award commended Laura’s exceptional leadership skills in managing the home and ensuring consistently good care to meet the varied needs of residents at Howdon Care Centre.
Following over 1,300 nominations, Laura was shortlisted with five other colleagues from over 250 Four Seasons Care Homes across the UK.
Steven Bainbridge, Head of Assurance for Four Seasons Health Care, presented Laura with her award and said:
"Laura has led an embattled service through a remarkable turnaround. Working with colleagues to improve morale and with a strong sense of teamwork, she has helped regain the confidence of commissioners and regulators, increased compliance levels across the board and built great links with the community - all within a very short space of time.
"In the home’s latest inspection, the regulator described Laura as “a breath of fresh air”, “meticulous”, “enthused” and “spot on”. She has taken her home straight from a rating of Inadequate to Good, which is a a stunning achievement, and is hugely deserving of the title of Home Manager of the Year."
Congratulations Laura on your success from everyone at Four Seasons Health Care!
