The team at St Catherine’s Care Home were delighted to welcome visitors back inside to be reunited with their loved ones this week.
One of the first visitors was Anne, who had never been inside the home before, as her mum, Margaret, moved in straight after a hospital admission in June 2020 making the visit even more poignant.
An overjoyed Anne explained: “Mum has been very poorly and when she had to go to hospital during the first lockdown we had no idea when or even if we would be able to see her again. Seeing mum properly at last and being able to hold her hand was everything I’d hoped for and more. I told her that I was giving her some of my strength as I held her hand and I think she understood. The carers at St. Catherine’s are angels and I’ll never be able to thank them enough.”
