Residents, relatives and the care team at Laurels Lodge Care Home in Aberdeen celebrated International Women’s Day earlier this month by hosting a grand tea party.
The ladies wore their fancy hats, enjoyed drinks out of fine china and a selection of very special cakes. Everyone took the time to reminisce about the good old days, and how proud they were of being a woman.
Marlene Smith, Personal Activity Leader, said: “We had a great afternoon celebrating this special day for women. We had a reminiscence activity at the same time and listening to the ladies’ stories about their life back in the day is all worthwhile. Let’s carry on with the girl power.”
