Long Service Award at Laurels Lodge.

Congratulations to Amanda Thomson Yeats from Laurels Lodge Care Home in Woodside, Aberdeen, who has recently received her 20 years long service award.

Amanda joined Laurels Lodge Care Home in 1999 as a Care Assistant and also helped with domestic work. Amanda has been working as a Senior Nursing Care Assistant after she completed her SVQ3 qualification and SNCA programme. She is now involved in training new and current staff in Moving and Handling, has completed her First Aid training and is also one of the home’s Oral Care Champions.

Amanda is a dedicated member of staff and has involved herself in fundraising events in the home such as sky diving and Go Ape for the residents’ social fund.
