Tony Wade entertains residents with his instruments

Tony is a lovely gentleman that visits Lawn Park Care Home in Sutton in Ashfield every month to entertain residents.

He first came to Lawn Park as a friend of one of our late residents and then asked if he could continue to visit afterwards.

Tony plays several instruments - the guitar, banjo, keyboard, penny whistle and several other different types of instruments from all over the world whilst singing to our residents. Tony themes each visit around different subjects and talks also about each theme to the residents, bringing with him pictures and stories to enhance the details.

Rosalind Kennedy-Brown, Home Manager, said: “Tony is part of our Lawn Park Family now and has made lots of friends here and enjoys visiting the residents who are unable to attend the entertainment in their rooms afterwards to chat and have a drink with them. All residents thoroughly enjoy Tony’s’ monthly visits.”
