Residents make ‘grass heads’ in Thamesmead

Residents at Marlborough Court Care Home in Thamesmead have been experimenting with ‘grass heads’ this week, creating some very interesting plants.

Hayley Leaver, Personal Activities Leader, explained: “The residents used tights, cotton wool and grass seeds to create their grass heads. They decorated their heads in cups, and shortly when the seeds grow, ‘hair’ will appear around the eyes and head. The residents had lots of fun and they want to come up with more designs as it was really easy to do.”
