Moving into a care home can be a stressful time for a prospective resident and their family.
One lady and her loved ones decided that they would trail the service provided by Old Vicarage Care Home in Worksop for a few weeks, to see if it was ‘for them’.
It turns out it was, and thanks to the care and commitment of the team, the lady moved in and her family wrote a lovely letter to CEO Tim Hammond, commending the team at the home.
The letter read:
“Dear Mr Hammond,
“It is with great pleasure I write to you to bring to your attention the wonderful care and attention given to my mother in law during the initial few trial weeks at the Old Vicarage.
“As a result of this experience I am pleased to say we are filled with confidence that my mother in law is going to enjoy what we hope will be a long and comfortable stay in what we can only describe as a home from home atmosphere managed by compassionate professionals.
“Please be kind enough to pass on our gratitude to Mrs Pauline Clews and her team for making us so welcome and for helping us manage her transition.”
Pauline Clews, Home Manager, said: “I’m very humbled to have received such high praise from a family. It emphasis how hard the team here work to make a difference to the lives of our residents on a daily basis. Well done team. You deserve these plaudits.”
