Pantomime fun for The Vale

Staff at The Vale Care Home treated residents to their very own in-house production of Jack and the Beanstalk!

Activities co-ordinator Julie Caulfield did a great job of organising the show, persuading colleagues to take part and pulling it all together, while Gardener Darren Greaves made all the fantastic props.

The lead role of Jack was played by Care Assistant Amy Symons with Domestic Louise Davey taking the role of Mother and Administrator Wendy Payne got the plum role as the cow! Senior Nurse Care Assistant Ivo Celsi played the Old Man, SCA David Wilson was the Giant and PAL Julie joined him as the Giant's wife.

The on-sceen prop holders – Gail Greaves (Domestic), Pat Pride (Care Assistant) and Alysha Morris (Care Assistant) all did a great job too.

Home Administrator Wendy Payne said:

"It was the first time the team has done anything like this at The Vale - it was an idea passed around our region and some of our other homes also put on a show.

"It was fun to do and we had good feedback from the residents and families who came to see us!"
