Staff at Park House Care Home in Birkenhead were touched to discover an article in Brighton publication, The Argus, quoting the son of a resident living with dementia and thanking them for their kindness and compassion.
Aaron lives in Brighton and did his third Memory Walk for the Alzheimer's Society for his dad, who is a resident at Park House and was diagnosed with dementia seven years ago.
"This is my third walk. It means a lot to me to help Alzheimer's Society raise money because if you have seen how dementia affects your family you don't wish it would happen to anyone else.
"We are still at the learning stages of understanding dementia. It doesn't only affect older people, but children can be diagnosed with it.
"The care home is excellent. The care home is part of Four Seasons Health Care.
"I want to say thank you to them, and to the staff who have been wonderful, kind and compassionate. Their work should be recognised and praised."
