Park House Wirral's Mandi releases her new single

There was great excitement at Park House Care Home in The Wirral today as the home’s Activities Leader, Mandi Fisher, released her new single ‘We Gotta Try’ with residents and team members starring in the music video.

Mandi, who appeared on BBC One’s singing competition ‘All Together Now’ last year, has dedicated the song to her late father who passed away due to COVID-19 earlier this year and hopes it will spread hope and positivity in these challenging times.

Carers and residents appear in the video along with Mandi and her three children; Lucas age eight, Ruby age seven and Poppy age four, who also sang on the single. The Park House family are seen holding up messages including “I am proud to be a carer”, “We are family” and “Wirral in this together”!

Mandi said, “We Gotta Try’ is dedicated to my dad and everyone who has lost someone to the coronavirus as well as all those who are missing someone they love while they have to be apart. It’s also a thank you to all our frontline heroes and its message is to hold on to hope and try to keep positive during these uncertain times.”

Mandi joined the team at Park House this summer and says she loves working in care. “I nursed my mum who I sadly lost to cancer in 2015 and then cared for dad before his death and wanted to help others. I also needed something to keep me busy after dad died and it’s the perfect role for me, I love it here.”

Home Manager Debbie said, “Mandi has an incredible voice and her song is so powerful, emotional and uplifting. It was great fun for everyone here to be involved in the video and we are all very proud of her.”
