Our residents at Mahon Hall Care Home have been getting involved in a new scheme called ‘Postcards of Kindness’, where they have been receiving postcards from all over the world.
They have people sending them cards from Lanzarote, Croatia, London, and even a family in Hong Kong who have sent a postcard from visiting Vietnam.
The Postcards of Kindness scheme has been set up across the country to ‘combat loneliness and isolation, and to remind our residents that there is always somebody thinking of them, regardless of where they are in the world.’
This scheme has truly helped our residents, who love receiving the postcards, as they open up a lot of discussions and memories.
