Regency receive High Sheriff of Manchester Award for efforts on coronavirus frontline

Congratulations to the Regency for receiving the High Sheriff of Manchester Award.

The High Sheriff of Manchester Award acknowledges the amazing acts of thoughtfulness and kindness being done by many people during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is a unique way of saying thank you to those who are providing an outstanding contribution to their communities. The aim is to recognise those who have been working flat out, in the most trying circumstances, to look after vulnerable people.

The High Sheriff of Greater Manchester, Dr Eamonn O’Neal, praised Bury's care providers' for their "collective commitment and dedication to limit the impact of the pandemic and lockdown on their lives of their customers, and ensure that some of the most vulnerable people of Bury have been kept safe, well and healthy".

He further celebrated the way they had 'shown kindness and innovation in enriching residents’ lives'.

Once lockdown restrictions are lifted, all the providers will be congratulated by the High Sheriff in person.
