On 16th June, Regency Care Home in Whitefield took part in National Care Home Open Day.
As well as opening its doors to the local community, the team also served cocktails and cream tea to everyone who came through the door.
Local Mayor Dorothy Gunther attended the event, and was extremely pleased by what she saw. She sent a thank you letter to the home commending them for their hospitality.
The letter read: “The Consort and I were very pleased to attend the Open Day at Regency Care Home and would like to thank everyone concerned for the very warm welcome and kind hospitality we received.
“We very much enjoyed our visit and it was lovely to meet the staff and the residents.
“Thank you for inviting us to join you; we were so glad to be able to do so and look forward to supporting future events.”
Mary Crossley, Home Manager, said: “The Open Day was a huge success and when we got this letter from the Mayor we were over the moon.”
