Residents at Langley Park Care Home in Durham enjoyed having a go at some knitting boards brought in by Activities Coordinator Jane.
They had great fun reviving a skill many of them had mastered as youngsters, and the large sturdy boards enabled them to move their fingers around effectively.
There were lots of laughs at the resulting creations, some of which were pretty much perfect and very impressive. It was a lovely activity for residents to undertake, and they particularly enjoyed challenging each other and showing some of the younger carers how to do it.
Everyone who took part found it a soothing, calming and fun afternoon, with a added extra bit of healthy competition!
