Congratulations to Deborah Davison, Unit Manager of the Dementia Unit at Highfield Hall Care Home in Rossendale, on receiving a ROCK (Recognition of Care and Kindness) Award after being nominated by a resident's relative for her fantastic work.
The relative has a brother who has lived in the Dementia Unit for the past 6 years.
Deborah's well-deserved nomination read as follows:
"Deborah has developed the unit to a high level of excellence over the six plus years that my brother has been a resident here. Her staff know precisely what is expected of them - the very best for those for whom they care. I can see, even after a week or two, new staff quickly developing the skills needed for such an important role.
"Visitors are encouraged to participate in Highfield's many activities and are always kept well informed as to their particular resident's progress or needs. The unit runs so smoothly and happily that, like a swan, no one is aware of the effort that is being made behind the scenes.
"Deborah has a genuine affection for all her residents and she is prepared to fight their corner to ensure their wellbeing. I so happy in the knowledge that my precious brother is so well cared for and respected."
Well done Deborah and thank you for your hard work, commitment and professionalism.
