Sandringham Care Home in Portadown was celebrating this week as resident Ronald Cooke (known as 'Cookie') was recognised for the 'Resident Contribution of the Year' at the national Four Seasons Care Awards in Birmingham.
Cookie shortlisted following over 1300 nominations from Four Seasons 250 Care Homes across the UK, and was recognised for helping to ensure that the home reflects the interests and needs of his fellow residents and is a happy place to live.
Simon Smith, Head of Business Development, presented Cookie’s award and said:
“Cookie shone for his huge contribution to the life of the home - not only for the residents but also to relatives, visitors and enquirers.
“He helps with the meet and greet, motivates his fellow residents to get involved, ensures the home and garden looks it best and generally supports the team to make their home special for all those that live, work in and visit it.”
Although Cookie was not able to attend the awards ceremony, he watched his award category being announced via a live Facebook stream, and was thrilled to learn he was the winner!
Congratulations Cookie on your well-deserved award from everyone at Four Seasons.
