Not content with celebrating St Patrick for one day, residents, relatives and the care team at The Cedars and Larches Care Home in Ilkeston had two days’ worth of celebrations.
Nina Wright, Home Manager, explained: “A couple of our residents have Irish heritage so we thought we’d make them feel doubly special. We welcomed Bob Stokes, a traditional Dublin Busker and he entertained us all with songs and stories from his time in Ireland. We also welcomed John West, one of our regular entertainers into wow us with his Irish set. It was fantastic and everyone enjoyed a little Irish jig.”
