The Headington take on a cycling challenge for charity

The amazing team over at The Headington Care Home have taken on the immense challenge of doing a 5 day charity bike ride to raise money for the amazing charity, Mental Health UK.

Over the past couple of weeks, the team have been spreading the word of our challenge to all our family and friends using our social media accounts and by informing all our visitors. We have so many generous friends and family of the home which we are very grateful for and have managed to raise a total of £340 on our Just Giving page and £100.60 in cash! We have been blown away by the support and donations are still flooding in.

Our team members came dressed in crazy outfits and have been working really hard riding in 30 minute slots each on the exercise bike in the home’s lobby. All our residents have been very supportive and rooting for the team members for taking on the challenge! Our residents even contributed to the challenge in their own way with their mini foot pedals that can be rode safely from their chairs, this went down very well and there were smiles all round!

Resident, Marion, said “It was a marvellous event to do and how clever the peddles were! I’d love to use it all the time!”

Team member, George, said “What a fantastic event and brilliant achievement to have done this!”

A wheelie amazing effort from The Headington Care Home – WELL DONE! To donate head to
