May the 4th be with you

May 4th has become known as Star Wars Day, purely because it sounds like the film franchises iconic line ‘may the force be with you’.

Unbeknownst to the residents and their families at The Laurels Care Home in Hetton-le-Hole, this meant they were going to be seeing a different type of guest at the home yesterday.

Helen Bell, Home Manager, explained: “We welcomed in eight Jedi, two Darth Vadars and a Storm Trooper. Everyone welcomed them in with open arms and offered them some galactic tea and cake. We enjoyed a good versus evil lightsaber battle before Darth Vadar one and two and the Storm Trooper left for their Star Destroyer and the Jedi returned to the Senate. May the force be with you!”

Are you looking for a care home in Hetton-le-Hole? The Laurels offers support for all types of care including residential care, dementia care, nursing care, respite care and end of life/palliative care.
