Two owls, a vulture and a falcon swooped into The Oaks and Little Oaks Care Home in Nottinghamshire to see residents last week.
The activity was organised by Personal Activity Leader Anne French, as part of a campaign to count the wildlife in our gardens.
“It was something I wanted to do because it was different,” Anne said. “I thought it would be nice for residents to see owls up close because we made bird feeders containing lard and seed as part of the RSPB bird count. The residents were able to stroke the owls, and for those unable to leave their room, we took the owls to them. It was a lovely experience for everyone involved.”
