The Oaks Care Home have invited children at Balderton Village Day Nursery to take part in a colouring competition to mark International Nurses’ Day.
The children sent their beautiful pictures in for the residents to judge and the winners, Harriet, 3 and Roux, 4 each received a certificate and a set of colouring pencils and crayons.
Home Manager, Katrina, said: “We have really missed seeing the nursery children as they used to come and visit us regularly before the pandemic. It’s so important for our residents to stay connected to people in our local community and we’ve had to find new ways of doing this while visiting restrictions have been in place. We are so looking forward to seeing our little friends again.”
Resident, Trevor, said: “Receiving all the pictures has really put a smile on our faces and it was so hard to choose the winners. They all did a smashing job and should be very proud of themselves.”
