Warrior Park Care Home celebrates carer’s success

Warrior Park Care Home in Harltepool is celebrating the success of Care Assistant Sophie Hegarty as she successfully graduated from the Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) programme.

Gail Starling, Home Manager said: “Everyone here congratulates Sophie on her success. We’ve supported her every step of the way and it’s great to see her hard work pay off. She is a great asset to the home, and provide fantastic support to the residents here. She is a great part of the team. Well done again! I can’t wait to see you putting your new skills to use.”

The newly qualified CHAPs are now able to provide some general nurse duties, such as medication rounds. This benefits the home as it enables the nurse to deal with more complex issues.

Jacky Reed, Acting North East England Managing Director, said: “Here at Four Seasons we take great pride in our CHAPs programme, and everyone who undertakes the intense 12 week course. You have come through this long journey, and I want to thank you for your commitment and continued dedication. I also was to thank the mentors for their continuous help and support.

“By working together we can all help provide good quality care everywhere, ensuring residents get the service they deserve. Congratulations once again.”
