Getting into the Christmas Spirit with Our Homes

It’s that time of the year again, the radio is filled with sounds of the season. Andy Williams telling us it’s the most wonderful time of the year. The anticipation, the songs, the lights, the trees being decorated. There is just something special and magical about Christmas. This time of the year can often stir up memories and a sense of nostalgia for the good ole’ times. It’s a chance to keep your childhood memories alive and feel connected to your past. The Christmas holiday is marked with lots of decorations, tasty treats, joy, love, and sharing.

This year we will all be celebrating Christmas in a simpler, quieter and more traditional way. However our team members are going above and beyond to ensure our residents enjoy the very best of the Christmas festivities and are well and truly getting into the Christmas spirit.

We wanted to look at some nostalgic things this holiday season which brings back the old-fashioned spirit of Christmas and rekindle that special, simple magic.

At Four Seasons we recognise that a well-balanced diet is essential for the health, happiness and all round well-being of our residents.

Dining is an important and enjoyable part of daily life in our homes and we take great pride in providing delicious and nourishing meals for all our residents.

During the festive season our chefs get well and truly into the festive spirit and produce some mouth-watering dishes for our residents to enjoy.

We all know how important food is at Christmas so our homes prepare special menus for the holiday and serve festive Christmas drinks to get everybody into the Christmas spirit.

Elf Day 4th December
Our fabulous team members will unleashed their inner elves to support Alzheimer’s Society Elf Day and help people affected by dementia.

Elf Day is all about dressing up and having fun while raising money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that is close to the hearts of our residents and team members. It’s a great way to kick off our festive activities which are more important than ever this year.

Our Magic Moments Programme centres on meeting the needs of the mind, body and soul all year round but really comes alive at Christmas with the tastes, aromas and sights providing such important stimulation - particularly for those living with dementia.

Supporting Elf Day has certainly become one of the more recent additions to our annual Christmas traditions but it grows in popularity yearly and will as ever bring some well-needed fun to our 2020 celebrations!

Top Christmas Songs
Whether you're decorating the Christmas tree, or wrapping presents, a festive soundtrack with all the best Christmas songs is essential to set the mood while you deck the halls.

Whether you prefer classic to country, pop to soul or simply want a song to get you feeling jolly we wanted to share our residents’ favourite seasonal tunes to get you excited and jolly for Christmas.

Getting Creative and Crafty
Sometimes it’s the little things which make Christmas special and magical. Going the extra mile can really make a difference on Christmas Day. Our residents love being creative especially at this time of the year.
