Residents and teams in our homes unleash their inner elf
This year some of our homes have been getting involved in Elf Day, a fabulous festive fundraiser to support people living with dementia and their families, set up by the Alzheimer’s Society.
Here are some of the photos from the day showcasing the great effort our teams went to, including creative costumes, from stripy socks to head-to-toe elf outfits! They’re sure to get you in the Christmas spirit, with just 11 days left to go on our Winter Warmer countdown to the big day.
At Churchfield care home in Nottinghamshire both residents and colleagues had a great time dressing up to raise money for the good cause.
Teams at Northlea Court care home in Northumberland organised a fundraiser selling delicious treats, woolly hats and jewellery. They raised a fantastic £100 for the charity.
Victoria Care Home in Merseyside ran a ‘Name the Elf’ competition in aid of Elf Day with the proceeds going to both the Alzheimer's Society and Residents fund, which is used to support extra requests for the home.
Healthcare Assistant Chloe won the competition with her name ‘Elvis’ which amused residents and colleagues. Chloe won some chocolate and the cuddly elf.
As well as the competition, residents helped to get the home looking festive putting up decorations and activities such as a visit from the local choir.
