Welcome to The Court Care Home
You'll find The Court in Ballymoney, County Antrim. At our purpose-built home we provide high quality residential care night and day.
The people who live here have varying needs, from specialist nursing support to general assistance with everyday living. Some stay with us permanently, others for short periods. We also offer respite care to give home carers a much-needed break, and accommodate individuals under 65.
Residents pursue their hobbies in communal and quiet lounges throughout the home. They watch TV or perhaps listen to music or read. Our large gardens boast colourful flowers and a patio area where people enjoy the fresh air. These areas are used for relaxing and socialising in, and are great places to invite friends and families to when they visit.
All our private bedrooms are decorated to a high standard, and many have en-suites.
Life at The Court Care Home
Residents get involved with our activities coordinator to plan all kinds of events and pastimes. These include arts and crafts, baking, and gentle gardening, as well as quizzes and music sessions. Professional entertainers come from outside to perform too.
We organise regular trips to local places of interest, including the library, park and the museum. And we arrange special meal nights when we invite relatives and friends to come along.
Mealtimes are an enjoyable and sociable part of the day. Each dining area has tables laid with fresh flowers and linen, and our menus are displayed to show the choices available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day.
We have highly nutritious and varied menus, and cater for all dietary and cultural needs. All food is prepared using fresh ingredients every day in our kitchens. Depending on how they feel, each resident can choose to have their meals in their own room, or in our dining room. We encourage friends and family to join us for meals or afternoon tea any time.
I feel at home when I visit my mother and feel confident that she is being well looked after, I wouldn't want her to be anywhere else.
The manager will always spend time taking to you and will help you with any problems you have. I would recommend the home to anyone
Excellent communications on progress and condition. The staff are very friendly and my mum is content.
I can walk in to the Home and feel comfortable. Everybody is always so friendly. It just feels like going to my mums house and I don't worry about going home.
The food is very good and if there is nothing on the menu I like an alternative is always offered. There are snacks and drinks available whenever I want one.
I am always informed of any changes to my mothers care or condition. Its gives me great peace of mind to know she is well cared for
The number and variety of activities provided by the home is excellent.
I don't know how to thank you all enough for the wonderful way in which you cared for my Dad. You made him feel special and loved. You made him happy.

Four Seasons Health Care picked up three accolades on Tuesday 5th December 2017 at the Training Journal (TJ) Awards. Winning three categories meant that Four Seasons Health Care led the way, as they were the only organisation to win in multiple categories.
Who were the winners?
The Dementia Care Framework won the ‘Best Change Management Programme’, which is a fantastic achievement and further highlights the positive impact this is having on the lives of people living in Four Seasons homes with dementia.
The Judges commented: “We recognise Four Health Care work in the field of dementia care as innovative and thorough in its approach, being both effective and transformative. It had a bold vision that was well executed in a challenging environment.”
The Care Home Nursing Journal (CNJ), Four Seasons’ very own internal publication to develop nurse knowledge and share best practice won its category of ‘Best Organisational Development Programme'.
The Judges commented: “The design of this intervention, which on the surface appears very simple, completely meets the needs of the organisation and has had significant impact. A particular strength was that Four Seasons Health Care decided to make these resources freely available to anyone, making the impact even greater and is improving healthcare outcomes in care homes everywhere.”
Finally, Louise Morris the Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) Lead won the main award of the night and was crowned the ‘Learning and Development Professional of the Year’.
The Judges stated: “Louise has had a transformational impact, not only on the learning and development of staff at Four Seasons Health Care, but also on the well-being of residents. Through a review of an existing programme, Louise drove design and improvement which has had significant benefits through improved care, staff practice and confidence and commitment to their work and professional development.”
Congratulations to everyone on this fantastic achievement!

On Saturday 17th June 2017 The Court Care Home in Ballymoney threw the biggest party in the home’s history, marking its 25th birthday.
Claire Wilkinson, Home Manager said: “This beautiful home may have been here for 25 years, but it certainly doesn’t look or feel like it. There was lots going on to keep everyone entertained and of course the main event was the beautiful cake. Everyone had a lovely day and to top it off we raised £900 for the residents’ fund which will help us to continue to provide special experiences for them. I’m hoping we can hold an even bigger celebration in another 25 years’ time.”
Are you looking for a care home in Ballymoney? The Court Care Home offers support for all types of care including dementia care, nursing care, respite care, specialist care, end of life/palliative care and intermediate care.

The Court Care Home in Ballymoney held a very moving Christmas Remembrance Service, remembering those loved ones who are sadly no longer with us.
Louise McIlwrath, Home Manager, explained: “We invite the family and friends of residents who have passed away throughout the year to the service. We present them with a Christmas decoration with information about their loved one and ask them to attach it to our tree. It’s a very moving ceremony where we sing carols and read readings as a way to celebrate the lives of our loved ones. It truly is a moving tribute. The ceremony was well attended and helped forge links with the local community.”
