Why did you decide to join Four Seasons Health Care?
The company has great values and the team seemed really friendly and supportive, so I thought this would be a good fit for me.

I love being creative. I have a passion for sewing, quilting and baking. I get a lot of pleasure from seeing my outcomes and seeing the enjoyment my creativity brings to other people’s lives.
Are there any highlights in your career you are particularly proud of?
I’m very proud of raising money for the care home I worked in which resulted in us being in the Chad newspaper! We held a joint event on National Cupcake Day with all proceeds from the bake sale going to the Alzheimer’s Society. I also donated a handmade quilt for the sale, and the money from this was donated to the care home residents’ activity fund.
What do you feel is your biggest achievement outside of your career?
Managing to achieve my career aspirations whilst raising my three children on my own.
What are your Qualifications?
In 2010, I started my career in care as an ICT administrator in a care home. Whilst I was in this role, I achieved my level 5 HNC software engineering qualification. Since 2015, I have been a registered manager and I have a level 5, City and Guilds NVQ in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care.
What top tips would you give someone when looking for the right care home?
Finding the right environment for a loved one is a very important step. You need to ensure that all aspects of care are considered in order to provide the best support, especially when someone is in their twilight years. When conducting your research, look at every detail from the staff to the activities provided. Everything offered in the home should be about maintaining quality of life, dignity and respect.
