Whilst we cannot accept responsibility for resident personal finances, we are able to hold small amounts of personal monies on behalf of residents to meet their immediate needs if required.
We request that the amount for each individual we look after should be kept to a minimum and of course this can be topped up as required.
All such monies are kept secure in one bank account for all the residents in the home with separate records for each resident recording the amount held on their behalf, and details of deposits and withdrawals made.
We also undertake to provide easy and flexible access to this money. However it must be noted that we are unable to subsidise expenditure from monies held if a person has insufficient money within the account to pay for the goods or services they require.
We have processes and procedures in place to ensure that all expenditure is authorised by the resident or where applicable their representative before transactions will be made.
