Life at Bon Accord Care Home

A carer and a resident

Upon entering the home it has the cosy feeling of a home, the staff are very friendly and get to know all the relatives by first name.

Robin Huggett, Husband of Resident/Service User at Bon Accord Care Home

Bon Accord is a truly caring care home. The care staff all go out of their way to give the residents the best possible experience. Any issues I have raised with the management have been listened to sympathetically and acted on straight away. Also the nurses are always on hand to discuss any concerns and are very responsive. The chefs are very accommodating to the residents needs and deliver great food - there are often family roasts and other opportunities to eat with your relative. There is an entertainments coordinator and a good range of activities including one-to-one time for residents who are in bed.
The home is homely and nicely decorated with three lounges for residents use. There is also a lovely garden. The domestic staff keep the rooms really clean and the whole place smells fresh.
My Mum has been at Bon Accord for 4 years and she could not be better cared for. I would recommend this home unreservedly.

Gill Ingold, Daughter of Resident/Service User at Bon Accord Care Home

The home and staff all show great care and respect not only for my father but also for my mother and myself. We would recommend Bon Accord to anyone.

Diana Groves, Daughter of Resident/Service User at Bon Accord Care Home

I looked at six care/nursing homes before choosing Bon Accord care home. What first impressed me about Bon Accord was the relaxed, friendly and "homely" atmosphere of the home. This has stayed with me and the care my husband receives daily is the best. I also experience the respect towards both residents and their families, and an openness that encourages me to speak up if I have complaints or concerns, and these are always taken seriously. Initially I followed my "gut" reactions and feelings in choosing Bon Accord, I have not been let down.

Elizabeth Hellett, Wife of Resident/Service User at Bon Accord Care Home

I enjoy living here in my bedroom with all my belongings. The girls are very pretty and helpful and I feel safe. I miss my husband terribly but I know he was looked after here very well by all the staff.

Kathleen Milton, Resident / Service User at Bon Accord Care Home

I enjoy doing my artwork and shopping, I feel happy everyday. I love the food and the chef. I couldn't see myself living anywhere else. I like it here.

Debra Brown, Resident / Service User at Bon Accord Care Home

Care home is friendly, I enjoy living here at Bon Accord. I feel the staff take good care of me and have my best interests at heart.

David Hunt, Resident / Service User at Bon Accord Care Home

Bon Accord was the 17th care home that I visited before I was satisfied that I had found the appropriate care facility for my mother. I was given time and excellent responses to my questions and enjoyed meeting staff and residents alike as I spent time checking out the ambience and facilities. There have been some communication challenges which have been quickly addressed and overall I am happy that my mother is happy, well and enjoying her life there - despite her dementia. I recommend this care home highly.

On Monday 27th March 2017 Four Seasons scooped the ‘Flu Fighter Social Care Award’ at the prestigious Flu Fighter awards.

The Flu Fighter award celebrate the great achievements of flu teams and organisations who promote the importance of flu vaccinations to everyone in their organisation.

Four Seasons was shortlisted for the ‘Social Care Award’ after being nominated following the success of the internal Flu and You campaign. Before being presented with the award, Daniel Mortimer, Chief Executive for NHS Employers said: “Four Seasons Heath Care launched its campaign with the goal of reducing the occurrence of flu in its colleagues. Bon Accord Care Home in Hove is celebrating the success of three of its Care Assistants after they successfully graduated from the Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) programme.

Michael Go, Care Home Manager said: “Everyone here congratulates Awa, Debbie and Hollie on their success. We’ve all supported them every step of the way and it’s great to see their hard work pay off.
