You’ll find Hesslewood House situated in the heart of a country park with views of Humber Bridge and Humber River, in the pleasant village of Hessle. We are close by to local shops and public transport, making us easily accessible for visitors to pop-in for a chat.
Our Care team offers all types of care, including residential care for those who need help with daily tasks, as well as residential dementia care where we support people to maintain their independence and individuality, encouraging social activity and building relationships within the home. We also provide nursing care for people who have complex medical needs.
Our dementia care is accredited as part of Four Seasons Dementia Care Framework.
Our outside garden provides stunning views of the country park, with resident peacocks to add to the experience. Our residents love to explore and enjoy our garden, and particularly like to relax on the patio area with our resident cat, Luna.

Care Home Manager
Alison has worked in the Health and Social Care sector for over 20 years and has been with Four Seasons Health Care for over 10 years. Alison knew care was the career path for her, as she loves working with people and she finds helping people to be extremely rewarding.
Why did you decide to join Four Seasons Health Care?
I saw it as an opportunity to contribute to an exciting and forward-thinking company.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love working with my fantastic team and building strong relationships with our residents. It’s a great feeling knowing I’ve made a difference to their day.
What are your favourite hobbies and pastimes?
I’m very family minded so I love spending time with my family and friends. Travelling is also a passion of mine.
Are there any highlights in your career you are particularly proud of?
I am very proud of my team as we’ve been nominated twice for the Care Awards!
What do you feel is your biggest achievement outside of your career?
I’m proud that I have worked all around the world, including countries such as Saudi Arabia and Greece. I’m also fluent in Dutch, Afrikaans and English.
What are your Qualifications?
I started at Four Seasons as a Carer in 2003. Since joining the company I have developed in my career taking on the roles including Senior Carer, Unit Manager, Deputy Manager and now my current role as Home Manager. I also have a Level 2, 3 and 5 NVQ.
What top tips would you give someone when looking for the right care home?
Visit the home if you can, so you can get a real feel for it. It’s also helpful to read their CQC report.
