You’ll find Riverside Court Care Home has a family-friendly atmosphere situated on the site of Maryport’s historic docks. We are next to Ismay Wharf on the marina, and walking distance from both the town and public transport, making us easily accessible for visitors to pop-in for a chat.
Our Care team offers both residential care for those who need help with daily tasks, and nursing care for people who have complex medical needs. We also provide both residential dementia care and nursing dementia care for residents who require it, as well as respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break.
Our purpose-built home offers beautiful views to the marina and out to sea. We also have sensory gardens, which have found to greatly benefit our residents. Our gardens are also perfect places for our residents and their loved ones to spend time together.

Care Home Manager
Sarah has been passionate about care from a very young age and watching lots medical programmes made her even more eager to
work in the care sector. In 1996, she became a qualified nurse and hasn’t looked back since!
Why did you decide to join Four Seasons Health Care?
I thought the team was fantastic and I was impressed by the amount of support given to us.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love that my role allows me to make a difference in someone's life and that I can put a smile on their face!
What are your favourite hobbies and pastimes?
I enjoy keeping fit and going on regular walks with my two rescue dogs. I also enjoy cooking and eating out.
Are there any highlights in your career you are particularly proud of?
I have been fortunate to enjoy every aspect of my career and upon leaving particular roles, the response from colleagues, residents and their families spoke volumes that I did a great job.
What do you feel is your biggest achievement outside of your career?
That’s an easy one to answer – my two daughters!
What are your Qualifications/Experience?
I qualified as a nurse in 1996 and worked in Intensive Care. I also have experience working in a community nursing team and in a general practice.
What top tips would you give someone when looking for the right care home?
Visit the homes as you can tell a lot about a place within minutes of walking through the front doors. Vibes from both team members and residents speak volumes.
