A warm welcome to Tudor House Care Home in Cannock, Staffordshire
You’ll find Tudor House Care Home in a lovely periodic building set in large grounds in a rural location in Cannock. We are close to local shops, public transport and the M6, making us easily accessible for visitors to pop-in for a chat.
One of the leading care homes in Cannock, our care team offers residential care for those who need help with daily tasks, nursing care for people who have complex medical needs, and respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break.
We have also received many positive assessments through carehome.co.uk.
Our home has the best views around, looking out onto the nature reserve, which makes for a great day out for our residents and their loved ones to spend time together. We are also close by to Windsor House Care Home, and so we often work with them a lot to keep the social lives of our residents active.

David Wilkins
Care Home Manager
Dave has spent the last 8 years working as a carer and home manager and joined Tudor House Care Home in June 2020. He has a wealth of experience in Health and Social Care and, after graduating with a Law Degree, has enjoyed a varied career working at The Crown Prosecution Service, and in senior manager roles for a Local Authority and a Housing Association.
Why did you decide to join Four Seasons Health Care?
I like the senior managers with whom I came into contact, and the company approach to caring for its residents; making sure we get to know our residents and listening to their life stories is so important. There was a vision evident towards excellent care, which is what we should all aspire to, and the resources to achieve it.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The people. I enjoy working with my team to care for our residents. We are one big family and work hard to make Tudor House feel homely. I also feel that caring for residents’ families and friends is an important part of our role. Often care homes overlook families or keep them on the sidelines, and it’s our job to bring them into the family and help them to be as involved in their relative’s care as they want to be.
What are your favourite hobbies and pastimes?
I love spending time with my family and my church, and enjoy most sports, classic cars, cinema and theatre, reading and walking.
Are there any highlights in your career you are particularly proud of?
There are two highlights for me:
Achieving the transfer of the Council’s housing stock to the new housing association, following a positive vote by tenants, after leading a team and almost six months on the road with a mobile exhibition talking to most of them!
Qualifying as a Dementia Care Coach having studied at Worcester University and with Dementia Care Matters in London, and applying the skills to train team members at my home at the time. Dementia is a passion with me and I look forward to helping our team and residents’ families increase their awareness.
What do you feel is your biggest achievement outside of your career?
I am a confirmed family man so I would say marrying my wife (How many years ago?!) and raising my children.
What are your Qualifications?
These include a degree in Law and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
What top tips would you give someone when looking for the right care home?
Trust your gut feelings when you go to view a home. How does it feel when you arrive? Is there a buzz in the home? Are the team naturally welcoming and caring to their residents? Does the manager or deputy take time to speak with you? Visit any home several times and at different times of the day. ‘Mystery shop’ if you feel able to. Prepare a list of questions before you go.
