Welcome to Laganvale Care Home
You'll find Laganvale in Moira, County Antrim. Here our registered nurses, senior care staff, and well trained experienced care staff provide excellent 24-hour care based around individual needs. We offer nursing care, dementia care, palliative care, and respite care.
Ours is a comfortable, well equipped, purpose-built, modern-looking nursing home, with care provided in different rooms. We have seven lounges, and mature grounds with views to a farm. Residents enjoy taking the fresh air in our delightful gardens.
All bedrooms are singles; some are refurbished and have en-suites. We love residents and their families to bring in memorable ornaments and pictures to make these spaces more familiar and homely.
Life at Laganvale Care Home
Our dedicated personal activities coordinators work very closely with residents, ensuring each person has something stimulating and enjoyable to look forward to.
We organise individual pastimes and hobbies, and group activities and entertainment too. Our flexible schedule includes concerts, trips to local places of interest, baking and weekly church services.
I would like to take this opportunity to recommend this home to anyone who needs care in this area. I found it one of the most caring places anyone could wish for and I think the entire management, nurses and carers deserve all the praise they can get. I think the media are all too quick to run down places such as this and I think credit should be given where credit is due. Thank you so much for the car given to my late wife.

The Dementia Care Framework won the ‘Best Change Management Programme’, which is a fantastic achievement and further highlights the positive impact this is having on the lives of people living in Four Seasons homes with dementia.
The Judges commented: “We recognise Four Health Care work in the field of dementia care as innovative and thorough in its approach, being both effective and transformative. It had a bold vision that was well executed in a challenging environment.”
The Care Home Nursing Journal (CNJ), Four Seasons’ very own internal publication to develop nurse knowledge and share best practice won its category of ‘Best Organisational Development Programme'.
The Judges commented: “The design of this intervention, which on the surface appears very simple, completely meets the needs of the organisation and has had significant impact. A particular strength was that Four Seasons Health Care decided to make these resources freely available to anyone, making the impact even greater and is improving healthcare outcomes in care homes everywhere.”
Finally, Louise Morris the Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) Lead won the main award of the night and was crowned the ‘Learning and Development Professional of the Year’.
The Judges stated: “Louise has had a transformational impact, not only on the learning and development of staff at Four Seasons Health Care, but also on the well-being of residents. Through a review of an existing programme, Louise drove design and improvement which has had significant benefits through improved care, staff practice and confidence and commitment to their work and professional development.”
