Welcome to Lansdowne Care Home
You'll find Lansdowne Care Home in Cricklewood, north-west London. Here our experienced nurses, care assistants and key workers provide high quality 24-hour care in the range from general nursing to nursing dementia. We look after people with very high dependency nursing needs, and also provide palliative care.
Most residents live at the home permanently but we also offer respite care. We always promote independence and respect people's dignity and choice.
Ours is a welcoming, comfortable, safe purpose-built home, with big gorgeous gardens, including a beautifully landscaped sensory garden with raised beds of plants and flowers. At Lansdowne we organise activities for residents with dementia, who can enter and leave this space as they wish when the weather is good.
Inside, there are bright and spacious corridors and lounges. Each of our three units has its own dining room. All bedrooms are singles with en-suites. We love residents to personalise these spaces to make them more familiar and homely.
Life at Lansdowne Care Home
Our personal activities coordinators organise and encourage pastimes, diversions and entertainment in the home. They ensure residents continue to enjoy what they've been doing before, and remain stimulated and engaged.
Our weekly activity programme includes reading sessions, group exercises, quizzes, bingo, foot spas, handicrafts, painting, drawing, one-to-one sessions, and concerts and entertainment.
We also organise local trips to nearby St Agnes Club where we do Tai Chi, to Kenwood House, and to Brent Cross shopping centre.
We celebrate residents' birthdays with a party at the end of each month. There's an entertainer for the day and families are invited.
We also produce a monthly newsletter to share our activities information with other homes, and with relatives so they can join their loved ones.
Our menu changes every four weeks so residents always have new, tasty options to choose from. Food is home-cooked by chefs on the premises.
It is one of the best places I have stayed in.
Very caring staff, excellent levels of care and observation.
High level of care and excellent staff.
We greatly appreciate the kindness we have been shown.

Four Seasons Health Care picked up three accolades on Tuesday 5th December 2017 at the Training Journal (TJ) Awards. Winning three categories meant that Four Seasons Health Care led the way, as they were the only organisation to win in multiple categories.
Who were the winners?
The Dementia Care Framework won the ‘Best Change Management Programme’, which is a fantastic achievement and further highlights the positive impact this is having on the lives of people living in Four Seasons homes with dementia.
The Judges commented: “We recognise Four Health Care work in the field of dementia care as innovative and thorough in its approach, being both effective and transformative. It had a bold vision that was well executed in a challenging environment.”
The Care Home Nursing Journal (CNJ), Four Seasons’ very own internal publication to develop nurse knowledge and share best practice won its category of ‘Best Organisational Development Programme'.
The Judges commented: “The design of this intervention, which on the surface appears very simple, completely meets the needs of the organisation and has had significant impact. A particular strength was that Four Seasons Health Care decided to make these resources freely available to anyone, making the impact even greater and is improving healthcare outcomes in care homes everywhere.”
Finally, Louise Morris the Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) Lead won the main award of the night and was crowned the ‘Learning and Development Professional of the Year’.
The Judges stated: “Louise has had a transformational impact, not only on the learning and development of staff at Four Seasons Health Care, but also on the well-being of residents. Through a review of an existing programme, Louise drove design and improvement which has had significant benefits through improved care, staff practice and confidence and commitment to their work and professional development.”
Congratulations to everyone on this fantastic achievement!
