Residents at Wyndthorpe Hall Care Home in Doncaster have been getting all glammed up, all in aid of a good cause.
The home took part in a regional ‘Glamour Day’ event, held in memory of a colleague who sadly lost her battle with cancer earlier this year.
Suzanne Ball, Deputy Home Manager, explained how the residents embraced their inner glamour puss: “Here at Wyndthorpe Hall, we held a coffee morning and encouraged the residents and the team to embrace their inner glamour puss. Everyone really enjoyed it, and it was brilliant seeing everyone all dolled up. Some of us resembled extras from Dynasty, but that was all part and parcel of the fun.”
The Glamour Day raised money for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, so the organisation could help more people fight cancer.
We’ll keep you posted with how much money was raised for the event.
